Andy Burns/Blue Heaven/Middle Kid @ Café Nola – April 13, 2019

Andy Burns – Indie pop goodness. reverb/echo entranced guitar, a low steady voice and some backing tracks create a full sound. It’s dreamy and dancey in all its finest moments.

Blue Heaven (Listen)- Glammy, punky, emo and so much more. The high pitched capoed guitars dash with reverb/chorus, the bass rolls on, heavy drums bash and the deep singing carries the rest.

Middle Kid (Listen)- Blistering indie rock that embraces its loud volume to make the crowd pay attention. Zack Willis (Singer/Guitarist) jumps, bounces and swings, bringing his energy to the rest of the band. Middle Kid is always a mash-up of amazing Frederick musicians backing Willis and this time it’s Evan Braswell (MESS), Andrew Bromhal (Silent Old Mtns.) and Austin Braswell on drums. Willis delivered new songs that will become the next Middle Kid album – They are hard rockers you should look forward to, no doubt.
